Common Carp

Commons are, well, common in Texas. Most of the carp you can expect to catch in Texas will likely be commons. The current state record carp is 43 lbs 12 oz, and many believe several Texas lakes are capable of breaking the record. Massive lakes like Toledo, Fork, Rayburn, and Lake ‘o the Pines could hold a fish over fifty, but the immense size of these lakes has concealed these larger fish well if there are a couple out there.
